The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision of Empowering Generations, Transforming Communities. This is achieved through delivering Remarkable Member Service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member's financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs.

The Business Loan Manager will oversee Loan Administration team members in the Business Services division, ensuring productivity and compliance with applicable policies and standards. This position will require travel to Nashville, GA 2-3 days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for processing business loan applications; verifying applications for completeness; conducting credit investigations; determining value and status of collateral (if any); and documenting business loans as per company policy and procedures. Ensure that loan packages are properly completed with appropriate signatures, disclosures, credit authority, and supporting documentation.
  • Reviews business loans procedures on a routine basis; recommends any necessary updates or Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology environments that may affect the operations function. Implement operations procedures that are in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. Establish, maintain, and monitor policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Supervise and coach Recommends staff for hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, training and development, and interpretation of credit union rules and policies for department personnel. Conduct all personnel functions in accordance with applicable statutes (e.g., EEO, OSHA, Fair Labor,etc.)
  • Facilitate business lending by working closely with front line lending staff to seek potential Effectively explain business products and services and work with lending staff to efficiently close loans in a time efficient way. Cross-sell products and services when appropriate.
  • Recommend business loans to be charged off to the VP of Business Services. Maintain adequate records on charged off accounts.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Performs job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Florida, and any applicable State laws for financial centers located in other States.
  • Complies with Reg E, BSA, OFAC, and CIP requirements such as reporting suspicious or unusual activity to manager.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College Degree or Equivalent
  • Five to ten years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory
